Question about 2008 Toyota RAV4
I have a 2008 toyota Rav 4. Every once in a while when I start the car, it won't start, all the lights will come on so it's not the battery but nothing happens, it won't turn over. It makes no noise at all. Then after re-trying a couple of times, it will turn over. For the most part it turns over but every now and then I will have this problem. What could the problem be? Please help
Wonder if its an open spot in the starter?....if it stops on an exact dead spot of the armature ...it can be an open circiut...might ck applicable power train warranties that might cover this

How old are your tires? The factory installed Geolandars are garbage. A broken radial belt in one of your front tires could be the culprit. A free, but labor intensive test is to raise one side of the car with 2 jacks, swap front and rear tires, then do the other side. See if the vibration and nois move to the back. If it does, then the problem is with the tire. Sometimes you can feel around the outer circumference of the tire and locate the bulge where the broken belt is. Hope this helps.
