Make sure you have the right fuse for the box in sometimes they just stick one in ... check your ground .. and dont use your fingers to put the bulb in .. the oil from your fingers gives it a shorter life...

97 chevy suburban headlights will not come on. I have replaced the switch module. No fuse blown that I can find. parking lights come on.

Did you look over the obvious of possibly both lights burned out at the same time? Are your parking lights bright? Maybe a bad ground. Look on the radiator support and fenders for the ground wires.
Could also be the high/low switch.

1998 chevy 1500k truck will not shift out of park when it does it drives and shifts fine.

Check brake light switch. When brake pedal is pushed to take shift lever out of park, switch sends current to a magnetic lock on steering column to release from park.
I have a 97 Z71 that had the same problem. I put on a new brake light switch and it took care of my problem.
