Right next to the receiver/dryer there is an attachment that looks like a tire valve. This is where the guages connect to the freon can.

I get freon on the front of the van but nothing on the back

Most vans have a second a/c unit in the back towards the rear of the hatch on one of the side panels. Usually on the passenger side. That unit might also need recharging or repair

I bout freon for my endeavor but i dont know where to put it i need to know where it is located and how to put it in thanks!!1

not sure exactly were the service port is but, it is the port with the smallest cap that is the suction line just add the refrigerant with the car running.I would reccomend having a vacum pulled on the system before charging it.Your local shop can do this for you.

The low side port is on the side of the accumulator/dryer. The arrow is pointing to a hose connection, but to the right of that connection is the low side pressure port.

1997 ford explorer needs air cond. freon

looking at your engine, you should have two caps on the passenger side of the car, fairly easy to see..

check that, and it will show you what I mean :). make sure you use the right tip, as their are diffrent sizes, and you dont want to spray yourself, that would not be a good idea.

I put freon in my car, but the air compressor didn't kick on i was told that ut wasn't my compressor because i couldn't move it freely with my hand. what else could be the problem??????????

your compressor it operated by a pressure switch .. which is located on the system .. when you have enough freon in the system it lets the compressor come on .. are you sure you put enough freon in the system ? how much did you put in before you quit ? it holds nearly 3 cans.. also did it work last season ok ? askingn these questions to make sure something else didnt go wrong.. get back i have a few other things that might help if freon dont fix it .. Thanks Jerry
