Question about 1992 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera
Recently my car has began to either not accelerate for a bit after starting or to just stall out completely. My first thought was that with all this ethanol being put in the gasoline now days, it was water in the fuel line, which i tried to solve with a treatment of stabil. For about a day or two after the treatment the problem stopped but it has started back up again.
But anyway, the only time it happens is if I leave the car sitting (turned off) for a good amount of time. It will either not allow me to accelerate for a bit or just stall out completely. After about ten seconds of having my foot on the gas, I'll be able to start accelerating if it doesn't just stall out on me all together. If it stalls, all I have to do to make it run is turn it off, turn it back on, then rev the engine a bit.
You may need to clean the mass air flow assembly or your (TPS) throtle position sensor may need to be replaced, Hope this helps.
