No codes? Could be upper O2 sensors are old & weak. or idle air bypass valve is dirty. It maybe underneath at the back of the upper plenum. Must be removed, cleaned by hand, tested. If bad replace. You tube has procedure.
First, check all the fuses with a test light to see if any are blown. If all fuses are good, remove the center console part the houses the HVAC controls and radio. Once removed, check for loose connection or any unplugged connectors. If all that checks out, the problem may be the control panel itself. These are problematic and prone to fail.
If the engine temp exceeds the limit the computer can kill the ac. If the cooling fan stops working the engine temp can go up and also stop the ac from being cold. Do you know if the cooling fan is working when the problems happen ?
Check your ducting and hoses going to the left side. Maybe one came loose.
Maybe a door towards left of heater case is not opening. Watch the cables for proper movement when operated. Maybe you can spot the problem. Good luck.
There are a few possibilities. Blown fuse to the compressor clutch, bad clutch, seized compressor, broken belt, low system pressure, or a rock through the coils in front of the radiator causing a leak. Take it to a reputable mechanic for repairs.
Well, this definitely sounds like you have a blown head gasket, and maybe a busted heater core (water vapor out of air vents). Both were probably caused by the car overheating creating a lot of pressure in the cooling system and blowing the head gasket(s) and maybe the heater core. The vapor out of the vents could also be caused by external coolant leakage of the head gasket on the hot engine bringing the vapor inside the cab via the heater fan...
I'd get that checked before any major engine damage happens...
you have a loss of vacuum. There is a small diameter black plastic tube from the engine compartment that feeds the climate controls. Check at back of control head, or there is a plastic connector under dash were other color tubes join to operate the other actuators of the system the black tube must have vacuum when engine is running. check under hood the black tube is spliced. separate the tube and check for vacuum The tube enters the firewall near the heater hoses.
