Question about BMW 325

1 Answer

My 1992 BMW 325 has an intermittent idling problem. When stopped or when clutch is engaged, the RPM's go from 1000 to 2500 then back to 1000, etc, up and down.

My a/c blows warm air in my BMW when it rains. Why

there is a solar load sensor that tells the computer information,it is either that or you have water getting into a connector on the condenser pressure switch or the a/c clutch is not engaging. sounds like an electrical issue for sure

BMW 535 auto gearbox issue?

hello jimandsuecla, you could potentially have a trans torque converter that is staying engaged. If the converter does not release, it would be similar to slowing down a manual transmission in first gear and not pushing in the clutch. You could also potentially have an idle valve that is sticking/binding and not responding enough to change in rpm and load. Does the car stall when the a/c is on and when the a/c is off? Have you had any shifting concerns. What is the current idle rpm reading while in gear with the a/c on or off?Any additional info will be helpful. Thanks

Why does my rpm gage bounce when i push my clutch in?

May be an iac motor slow to react to change in load. RPM will change when shifting or engaging/disengaging clutch. Does not sound serious yet ... If you can, compare with similar vehicle and see it it does the same.
