If there is spark and fuel, than your timing may be off or there is a bad sensor. Also check fuses and relays.

2006 monte carlo engine cranks but will not start

If it cranks good but won't start, have a helper crank it while you visually check for spark at the spark plugs, if spark everywhere, use a gage and check fuel proper fuel pressure. Check fuel injector pulse.

Check your security system.

Replacing water pump on 86 chevy monte carlo

Thats interesting - - the engine should start even if the water pump has been removed.
An 86 model would have a V6 or a V8 engine and both use a distributor, have you checked for spark at the plugs and fuel in the carb or injector ??

1998 chevy monte carlo 3.1 how to test coil in engine

V6 engines have a "waste spark" design-one coil fires the plug on 2 cylinders. You can test the coils by reading across the plug wire "towers".You should get roughly the same readings on each coil(I think it was about 9 ohms, but it has been a while). If they read about the same, you could remove the coils and put a 12v test light across the primary(low voltage)terminals, you should get a flashing light when you crank it.If no light, see if you are getting injector pulse(a "noid" light is a test light for this purpose, you could rig a small Christmas tree light bulb to the injector plug as a substitute). If you aren't getting primary voltage to the coilsor injector pulse, you could have a blown fuse or bad crank sensor.

1995 monte carlo starting and run problems

Sounds like the fuel is draining back towards the fuel tank, which is the reason for extended cranking till fuel reaches injectors. My guess would be the fuel pump in the fuel tank. It contains a REVERSE FLOW VALVE, which SHOULD prevent this. A visible way to check would to place a manual fuel pressure gauge on the fuel rail valve. After shutting the engine off note the degree of pressure drop, if any. Hope this helps

Can't find all spark plugs

Well seeing as u don't specify the year or engine u have in ur monte carlo, it's kinda har to tell u where they are.If it's a V6, the 3 rear sparkplugs are behind the engine under the manifold. Most times the rear engine mount must be removed and the engine preid to reach the sparkplugs from underneath.

Good luck.
