Where is the throttle position sensor on a 2001 Chevy Cavalier

On the throttle body ! Find where the gas pedal cable hooks up to the engine . On the other side of that is where it is . has wires going to it .

code p 0107 refers to manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor/ barometric pressure (BARO) sensor--low input===causes wiring short to ground---map sensor--baro sensor---ECM
code p 0122 refers to
(1)throttle position(TP) sensor A/ pedal position (APP) sensor A --low input ===causes ---wiring short to ground --TP/APP sensor/s---ECM
(2)TP switch and APP switch A--low input===causes -same as (1)
(3) TP sensor B/accelerator pedal position switch B---circuit malfunction====causes --wiring open/short to ground/short to positive--TP/APP switch--- ECM

could be throttle position sensor, also a hole in egr tube can cause that

The throttle position sensor is located on the end of the intake plenum where the hose from the air filter attaches. It should be on the opposite side from where the throttle cables attach.

opposite side of the throttle linkage. usually has a plug with 3 wires

bolted to the side of the throttle body with 3 wires going to it

Find where the throttle cable goes the the throttle body. Now on the opposite side of the throttle body is the TPS 3 wires/plug.

Look where your throttle cables etc are attached at throttle body, it should be at opposite end of the shaft that operates throttle plate in front of throttle body opening. Usually held on with Torx screws

It is located in the large hose coming from the air filter it just pulls out

No big trick here, just unbolt it and put the new one in. If it's adjustable use the dirt on the throttle body as a guide for proper placement. Make sure it engages properly on the throttle shaft as well.
