Question about 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee

1 Answer

My '03 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo broke down. No reaction when the accelerator pressed. Any ideas? Evidently, it is not the relay switch.

I would look at the acutal gas line that goes from the tank to the input or i would look at the gas cable that goes from the pedal to the accelerator and see if it came disconnected. all you would have to do is connect that back up if it did come disconnected and then you should be good.

If it didn't come with fog lights, it may also have not included a fog light relay and/or fuse. Check the owner's manual for fuse and relay locations, and then check if the necessary parts are there.

Check your throtle postition sensor. It monitors what postion the throtle is at and sends that info to the ecm. It will go bad and cause that problem.

Try gently tapping the starter motor with a hammer or bar. There may be a bad contact in the sollenoid or the starter motor brushes worn to their limit. Tapping may give you a tempory fix if the problem lies in the starter motor.

sounds like you have a problem with one of your lines on your power steering or one of its components. the grinding noise could also be one of your pulleys that have gone bad too. check your steering assemby gear box.
