Hi I am vortash sounds like a switch to me check if you have a light switch type on the boot a plunger that connects to earth etc .. or indeed if the unit is recieving its information from a rear courtesy light , is it going off if not there is your problem the dash still thinks your boot is open as the light is still on probably switch stuck or trapped wire to earth ? it will behave the same if the dash has a sepperate switch that is faulty .. regards Vortash

Mercedes E550 Cabriolet front windshield wiper fuse location ?

I have a W208 so it might be slightly different.
Check the following locations.
Under the bonnet main fuse box.
Open drivers or passengers door and look behind the flap on the end of the dash that is hidden when you close the door.
in the boot (unlikely here) under the boot floor is the battery and another fuse box. (mainly for the rear electrics)
Your manual should list the locations. MB manuals tend to be actually useful.

Problem with boot lock on Astra 5 door estate 2006

If there isn't an emergency "lock knackered" panel in the tailgate trim, you will probably have to force the trim panel off. These are usually only fastened by plastic pop studs, so you should be able to do it without damaging the panel, although you may need to get replacement studs.

When the tailgate is fully closed, is it actually properly latched down? Try pushing down firmly on the tailgate when it's closed just to be certain as it's possible that the latch is sitting half open at the moment.

Boot open warning on but trunk is closed, cant lock doors horn warning its open, is there a sensor that needs replaced ? and if so were is it located

there is a button type sensor (pressed when trunk closes) it should be easy to find (look around the outside edge of the trunk but still under the actual trunk) it can usually just be adjusted but may need replaced.

1997 XK8 JAGUAR the BOOT WILL NOT CLOSE, HOW CAN I FIX IT?

this is an electrical part and most probably needs to be replaced , but if it does not go into the lock it self ( Lock is closed while boot is open ) , you need to open manually with a screw driver and then close your boot

Hand brake and boot catch

if you open your boot at the bottom in the middle of boot and look for excess wearing on the catch as this has to be cvlosed for all of the central locking system to be working. if this is not the case and there are no visdible scratches on the actual pin then you will find it to be a computer fault and would recommend you go to dealer.
