Hub bearings are binding. you need to have the car put up into the air. Have someone put it into drive get it to 55 mph to pinpoint which bearing is noisy. A binding wheel bearing can cause unwanted stress to the driveline. hope this helps.

My Dodge Grand Caravan is making a humming noise as you accelerate, while turning left it stops but gets worse while turning right. I replaced the left front wheel hub and no improvement, I need help

if hub bearing replacement did not fix the noise

when noises are on left and right turns
that has CV joints /drive shafts
would say they are the issue
replace both sides

and replace the left hand hub bearing at the same time

Low pitch humming noise

May well be. You might want to check your coolant. If you're low (but not yet overheating) your fan will come on more often.

you have not said where the noise is coming from,is it from the engine, underneath the vechile, front or back, check and try to find out where the humming noise is and then you'll have a better idea of what it could be,and look for. need more info.

Humming noise when car is moving

most likely if its a hum it could be tires , if its a roar it could be the drive train

support the vehicle on jack stands , start the engine , put in drive and let it idle, if noise is gone ...its the tires if not check the drive train ...start with fluid levels

Loud humming noise from right front end of 99 blazer

the noise is coming from the wheel section, it's called air splash, humming varies with speed, main causes are wheel alignment due to loose ball joint, check if your tire erodes on one side, next check your disc brake for clogged air cooled vain and disc wearing

JUST GOT TWO NEW FRONT TIRES,(AND BALANCING). NOW THERE IS A CONSTANT NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT END AND GETS LOUNDER AS ITS ACCELERATED. SOUNDS LIKE A RUBBING OR HUMMING NOISE.

Sounds like a wheel bearing or bearings going bad.

Humming or 'howling' noises are indicative of a bad wheel bearing especially on acceleration.

Good luck on this repair.

There is a humming noise that I only notice with acceleration and there my low coolant light is on, even though the fluids are fine(I checked in the back up tank and in the radiator cap) I dont understand...

The coolant sensor is most likely bad is the reason you getting the coolant light. It's located inside the overflow tank and it's job is to let you know when the coolant level is low., it's not a big deal just keep a check on the coolant level if you don't get it fixed ant time soon. The humming noise could be different things from a vacuum leak to a pulley issue or even a bad tire, this is a matter of getting someone to drive the car and notice where the humming could be coming from. Do you know if it's coming from the front or back, driver or pass side? Good Luck. Check out about the humming before the sensor.

Exactly the same problem.

2000-2003 Focus vehicles may exhibit a noise from the right halfshaft support bearing.

Due to the way the driveshaft is designed there is central bearing on the the shaft. On the front drivers side it has the tendency to hum at speeds over 40mph. This is the first sign that is the bearing is going. According to Ford it can be quite common in cars of 50-60k plus. If you don't notice the hum (I didn't really) you will eventually start to get a ticking/crackling noise at speed, which will gradually get worse and take less travel time to get going. Eventually the bearing will just seize, so it is worth getting it sorted.

Unfortunately even private mechanics will have to source the bearing, which isn't cheap, so it will cost around 125-150 quid at the garage to fix. It can be a pretty fiddly job, as the whole driveshaft needs to come out (not easy in high mileage cars due to build up of grime etc), so I wouldn't attempt to replace at home unless experienced.
