Question about 1996 Lexus ES 300

1 Answer

I think a fuse it out and I don't know how to replace it. The airconditioner is running but not cooling and the stereo can go off and come back on. I also need to replace the antenna. I bought an antenna but it didn't come with directions. Help. I am out of work and need to fix it up to sell it. Otherwise it is in great shape with 120,000 miles. Thanks

Factory Bose stereo cut off in my car. I was pulling the fuse out under the hood and when I would put it back in it would work. Know it won't work at all. I bought a new fuse thinking I blew a fuse bu

Some factory radios are designed to shut down if power is removed from them - like when they are stolen. This feature is the anti-theft device for the radio. Most seasoned thieves know it is going to be a hassle to get it turned back on again.

Contact your dealer's service manager and ask how to go about getting the radio turned back on again. Explain it exactly as you did here. You may have to pay to re-activate it - so be prepared.

Good luck!

Stereo is on, the fuse is fine, I'm thinking about resetting the C.B but don't know if it will help

you have a combined cb radio with a stereo built in? these are rare enough(and mostly gone by now) but I have worked withone before and remember it recieved fine but you could not transmit at all withit..most of these would not make a sound with the squelch turned way up (to block out white static) so try turning the squelch down and setting it for fm stations if it has those in it..most were all am radios..check all connections as well, oh and some had push buttons on them, make sure they are pushed in fully before release otherwise they wil be off station.. good luck

There is a failure in the circuit of the heated oxygen sensor-bank 1 sensor 2. I don't know how to check the fuse since I don't know where it is located.

If you're getting a code for a heated oxygen sensor circuit problem, replace the sensor. I don't think I've ever seen a fuse be the problem. Bank 1 is located at the back of the engine compartment, close to the firewall. Sensor 2 is the sensor after the catalytic converter.

My 88 Tracer started having problems with all dash lights being on. Then a day or two later over heated lost all antifreeze except small amt in overflow. Let it cool added some to radiator and overflow....

OK, first, I think it may be the alternator. If you charge the battery overnight, the engine should run for about an hour before it discharges again.
I don't think the coolant should affect the wiring.

There may be a fuse panel for the high current fuses in the engine compartment. It should be 30 amp or higher.

Does the generator/alternator/battery light come on when the key is in ON position?

What engine? 1.9L or 1.8L?
VIN Number?

Engine probably needs a cooling system flush and replace coolant with new Long Life Anti-Freeze, check condition of serpentine belt at same time. A/C system probably needs a recharge at your local shop.

2002 Buick LeSabre Limited. Airconditioner cools

The dual air on this car has two temp control motors that are electronic. You need to have the car scaned at a dealer to see if it has a code for the left temp feed back circuit. If so you will need to replace the temp control motor for that side.Good Luck
