Question about 1987 Toyota Pickup
Wont idle and dies. does not happen all the time, does not seem to matter if its cold or hot. It can also fix itself and run and idle fine.
I had the same problem 3 weeks ago with my 87 Toyota truck. I posted the problem here and the response I got was- On the passenger side rear of the carburetor is a cold air idle valve, it has a two wire pigtail on it, remove the valve and clean it out with carb cleaner. Then screw it back in and all should be well. I did this, not really expecting much. My truck started right up and has been idling with no problem since. Try this and also your fuel filter.
