After I drive my truck for awhile and then it sits for a half hour or so it hard to start like its not getting enough gas I put some in carb. It starts but dies after it burns it put new fuel filter

  1. disconnect the fuel line at carb
  2. stick it in a container and crank engine
  3. check the flow if really good THEN:
  4. check the float level and acc. plunger on the carb.

Hope this helps Mike

2002 dodge ram won't start if you step on gas peddle before starting it. What causes this? If you wait a couple of hours it will then start

Fuel injected engines don't need to be pumped before starting, if you do flooding can occur. Make a conscious effort NOT to touch the pedal until after you turn the key to the start position and the engine actually starts.

I would replace the crank sensor and never pack fuel into your gas tank. First click when full stop pumping gas. Next time it does this pour or spray some water on the crank sensor and see if it will start, if so problem solved.

My 1997 eagle talon tsi fwd turbo with a 1st gen motor in it. I let my car sit for about 9 months and i charged the battery and it started up just fine and i started it up for about three months after...

The plugs are gas fouled. You can use a propane torch and heat/ burn the electrode end and burn the gas off, get them red hot. While the plugs are out, move the plug wires away from the plug holes and turn the engine over several times to get rid of some of the fuel. by the time the plugs cool off the cylinders should be some what dry. If you don't have a torch get new plugs.

Car runs great then stops like its starving for gas, let it sit for couple hours then it starts up again

Check the ignition module, and fuel pressure when the trouble is present. Those are the two things on Neons that cause this problem

Is my 88 dodge caravan fuel injected?

I beleive the fuel pump is in the gas tank, have someone go back to the gas tank and someone else turn the key on, if the pump is good you should hear it working, if you cant then youve probably burned the fuel pump up. When you run them completly dry of fuel it only takes about 1.5 seconds to burn the electric fuel pumps up.
Good luck.
