BMW has a history of oil sensors going off because of moisture on the oil fill cap. Remove the cap and wipe it out.

Pull your dipstick and check the oil level on a flat area if it is down a hair this could be your problem if so add a little. then start the engine the light should stay off.

have the fault codes read to determine which servos/sensors have failed. It is possible that the hose to the turbo actuator is leaking and the turbo is not working as it should or maybe is not connected.

Where is the fuel filter on a diesel 2002 bmw 320?thanks

Its very hard to describe it in writing, but I will guide you.
If you see the fuel injector pump, at the side of your engine, there is a hose/tube that feeds fuel in the pump. Follow the hose/tube it will be going to the fuel filter. The filter looks like an oil filter, round cartridge type with small pump at the top.
Hope that clears everything!
Thanks for using Fixya!

Where can I find the fuel pump on a BMW 320 Diesel and do I need any special tools to change it?

their is no fuel pump on a diesel its inside the injector pump unless its a common rail system ,fit non return valves in the supply and return pipes that will cure it ,other than that is a pump off and overhaul which the pump alone is 600euros plus tax and then labour on top

BMW 318iSE (1999) engine warning light

That sounds like you bought big problems. Oil ights indicate low oil pressure= BIG BUCKS. I would have a qualified repair shop check it out, A shop that specializes in BMW. If you are lucky, maybe the oil sender is just bad. They can also check out the Ck eng light. But the oil light is priority one.
