Question about 1998 Buick Century
If your compressor shut down, it's probably due to lack of refrigerant. GM's have a safety feature built in to their compressors, if their is not enough refrigerant to power the compressor, it will shut down and require a reset. (disconnect neg battery cable for 20mins). Once the compressor has shut itself down, it won't accept more refrigerant until it has been reset.
