94 Civic over heats about 45 min in to driving

The car over heats after a bit of driving. But short trips its fine. It also will idle ruff when its hot outside, but idles fine in cool weather its been doing the idle thing for about 2 years, but just started over heating. The ruff idle goes away as soon as you step on the gas. Water pumps been changed about 4 years ago. Also had head gasket changed around same time.

If you determine that the head gasket is leaking again, be sure to check the head and block surfaces for signs of warping. After you correct any such problems (by resurfacing, or replacing), be sure to use one of the newer type head gaskets. These are known as "multi-layer steel" or MLS gaskets. They are more expensive than traditional head gaskets, but they are highly recommended for engines that blow head gaskets. It has worked well on my 1992 Civic. The dealer typically stocks them, and Fel Pro makes them for many different engines.
I hope this helps.
Good luck, Mark

Bad misfire

run the fault codes as misfire can be from injectors , low fuel pressure and ignition problems
all temp gauges will show a rise on stopping an engine as there is still residual heat in the block and heads with no water circulation and cooling
the fire from the exhaust indicates an exhaust valve is not closing properly so a compression test would be in order to check for valve problems or hydraulic follower problems

2000 grand prix, 3800 when it warms up losses power

I would have to say the fuel/water separator filter is clogged up. The filter will remove water and crud from the gas. It looks more like a small can under the car. If the car set up with a low tank of gas, water will condensate inside and once the new fuel sloshes around it gets all this junk off the walls of the tank and that gets sucked in the filter. Try and replace that first..
