Question about 1991 Chevrolet Camaro

There is power at the connector to the window motor for 1997 Chev

There is power at the connector to the motor for both up and down. The window will go up but won't come down. Same thing for 3 different motors. Is there a ground that could be a problem for the down side in the switch box?

the power that raises and lower the windows is controlled through the switches, this is how it works, when you reverse the direction the motor will run then all you are doing is reversing the ground and power out of the switch, ground becomes hot and the hot becomes ground for up and reverse that for down, so if the window will go one direction but not the other then the problem is not a ground, most likey you have a defective driver side master switch, have you replaced the master switch?

Check your wiring in the door. They have the tendency to crack right where they enter the body or fender of the car. You may have to splice a wire in to give it enough length. Than wrap it in good quality electrical tape and insert it back into the protective cover.

Checked fuses? Could be a bad master switch which is on the drivers door. Or bad window motors.

1997 toyota land cruiser right rear window not working

Have a look at your disconnected terminals and see which connections work what. You indicated some work at connector but not on motor?
Its possible that a bad solder job inside the motor may be keeping the reverse rotation of the motor from occurring. Jump the terminal with a power source and see if the motor terminal is dead. Some motors do not come apart. If you go to a Salvage yard, they may know how to test your old one and bring it along to match up. Often the left and right sides are different.

Is there a fuse for the passanger window in the 1997 chev camero that needs to be checked before replacing the motor. If so where is it?

The window circuits on your 1997 Chevrolet Camaro are not protected by a fuse. They are protected by a self-resetting circuit breaker. BOTH windows are protected by the same circuit breaker, so if the other window works, there is nothing wrong with the circuit breaker.

However, the REST of the circuits should be checked before going out and buying a window motor. Both the LEFT and the RIGHT door switches or any of the wiring in-between can cause the passenger window to not work.
