Question about 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
My 2000 chevy 350 skips while driving on highway no code we have replaced fuel pump, fuel moduler caps, plugs and wires and 02 sensors.
A fuel injector cleaning should be performed. Varnish build up will cause the injector to spay an abnormal pattern. The fuel will not be atomized properly and cause a missfire condition. Also, excessive carbon build up on the intake valves will absorb fuel meant for the combustion chamber that will cause a minor lean missfire condition.
Your favorite repair shop with the proper injector cleaning machine will be able to do it for you or you can try a couple of fuel tanks full of "combustion chamber cleaner".
The large bottle of Cheveron combustion chamber cleaner works very well. I have tried a number of other cleaners, but the Cheveron seems to work the best.
Good luck and let me know how it comes out.
