Problem for Volkswagen 1994 Golf
VW Polo cuts out intermitantly

The car runs perfectly but suddenly cuts out. It sometimes re-starts after leaving it for a short time but on occasions it has to be left for a few hours. I have replaced the coil pack and it seemed to clear the fault but then the condition came back. Fuel is being delivered OK, air filter is OK. When testing there is a current from the main HT lead out of the coil pack.
