2000 Mustang GT, Auto, conv. The ABS light is coming on in the mornings after about 10-20 minutes of driving (depending on the temp, Hotter it is the quicker it comes on). In the evenings on the way home, if it's in the mid eighties or higher the light will come on when I start the car and stay on for about 20 minutes or so then go off. I have about a 35 minute drive between home and work.

Re: ABS Light Coming On
It sounds like your ABS sensor needs to be re gaped and cleaned, To keep it simple, just try cleaning them first with brake parts cleaner. Your going to need two cans, one for the front wheels and one for the rear wheels. Locate the ABS sensor on the wheel hub and spray it clean as possible and see if that fixed the problem, If the the problem still there then your going to have to get a feeler gauge and re gap the sensor to the speed ring on the wheel hub. Can not recall what the gap should be but you can get that from Auto Zone or any large Auto parts store when you pick up the brake parts cleaner and feeler gauge. Good luck and keep me posted. Oh ans almost for got to inspect the wire harness at the sensor to make sure there are no damages.

Engine light is mainly tied into the emission system. This can sometimes be as easy as a couple of times putting in gas treatment. There are multiple sensors that are part of this system. To get a code take this to an Oreilly auto and have them hook it up for you. They will do this free. Oil change, air filter, plugs and wires could all be contributing to this light coming on.
First, the battery replacement indicates you have a short. Either something draining the battery, or a bad alternator. This explains the light problem too. Get the alternator and battery tested at a auto-parts store. All the rest will fall in place.
Your Antilock Brake System (ABS) has a problem. The ABS will not work at all as long as the light is on. A common problem is a bad Front Wheel Speed Sensor. This system also uses the signal from the Vehicle Speed Sensor that is mounted in either the differential or the transfer case, depending on if you have 4 wheel drive. There are many other things that can cause this light to come on, but these are the most common. You will need to have your Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) scanned to find out why it has turned the light on.
Usually, most ABS light problems are caused by a dirty Wheel speed sensor, or the wiring to a wheel speed sensor. You can get your codes scanned for free at most auto parts stores, and that will tell you which wheel the ABS code is coming from. Hopefully this will point you to the problem!
You need to have an abs code scanner hooked up to it to find out why the light is on. If there is an advanced auto or an autozone parts store near you, go there, they can hook up one for free, takes about a minute, if not, you'll have to pay somewhere else, and it isn't cheap.
One or both rear wheels speed sensors are malfunctioning even they dont show noticeable physical damage. Get a scanner that can display rear wheels speed values and drive the car to see which one is not working correctly.
The ABS light coming on all of a sudden seems to be cuz of a faulty ABS wheel sensor. You will need to take it to your mechanic and have him "pull the codes" from the ABS computer. That is the only way to know the problem... Sometimes it is also caused by low battery voltage so you might wanna swap that out to check...
I'm a Ford service adviser. There are many reasons for the
abs warning indicator to come on. The usual cause is from a
faulty speed sensor. Either a wheel speed sensor or the
differential speed sensor. I don't think the light is related to your
vandalism. You might want to take the truck to an auto parts store and
have them read the codes for you. Most auto parts stores will do this
