I have a 99 Chrysler 300M that had a slight radiator leak...I had put stop leak in it and it seemed to help for awhile. I know that radiator is aluminum & plastic...well yesterday something happened and after engine was cool enough I open radiator cap...put in fluid then it appeared to be full and woosh the fluid ran out somewhere....What could be the problem...Thanks Bob

If there is other leak other than the one you have found, air may have entered the system. To ensure that it does not get in and that your are filling up the correct amount of water squeeze the radiator hose on top after each fill to squeeze out the air. You can also let the engine run while pouring water one at a time.

What causes my car to overheat after about 10 miles it is a 1999 chrysler 300m with a new radiator

Ten miles seems a long way to go to blame the thermostat, the usual suspect. Check to see if this model has electric fans on the radiator. The connections may have been disturbed, missed, or installed wrong. The temp control for the fans needs to be checked, too.

The thermostat don't work where is it located at to put it on the 99 chrysler 300m

Jacquelin! The thermostat n a 3.5 Chrysler 300M is on the block right next to, and toward the front of the engine by the oil filter. Yes, that sems a bit strange, but then I'm not a bit surprised about this engine any more. As the big radiator hose leaves the radiator finding its' way toward the block, it terminates at a traditional "goose neck" at the block behind the power steering pump- only accessible by removing the oil filter and using an extension and a u joint BUT FIRST: lower the anti freeze in the system by draining some fluid. But anyway- THAT'S where it is. Have fun, fix it up and GO!

Depending on engine:

V6: Follow LOWER radiator hose from radiator to thermostat housing.

V8: Follow TOP radiator hose from radiator to thermostat housing.

Please let me know how I may assist further.

It may help to try to install a lower temperature thermostat than the one currently installed. This is a cheap place to start $15.00 or less for the part.
