I have a 97 honda civic dx with 103,000 miles on it that in the past year everytime the weather is extremly warm i can be driving 50 mph and I hear a click and the car just shots off, sometimes it starts right back up and other times it can take up to 5 minutes to restart, my brother in law suggested I have the ignition module which I did but has not corrected the problem, any suggestions

Hi,

There are 2 things to consider :-

1. If that's a regular problem in warm temperature :- Bad Main Relay.

Consider :-

Engine hard to start when hot.

1. Air filter clogged.
2. Fuel not reaching the fuel injector system.
3. Corroded battery connections, especially ground.

Now,

2. This is a common issue with HONDA cars whether it's Civic or Accord.Read a technical bull. :-

Hope i helped you.

Thanks.

Can i put a 97 honda accord battery on a 2002 honda civic

If it fits and the positive and negative are correctly positioned it should not be an issue. If the CCA (cold cranking amps) are lower than what is called for, you may have issues in extreme cold weather.

I keep pretty good care of my 1989 Honda Civic DX 4-Dr, manuel transmission. After 22 years, it now has 381,100 miles. It still runs well except it burns a little bit of oil. I have other cars... but I...

Well being well kept up I sure you are burning oil through the valve stem seals.... and new rings too... the head kit should be around 120 to 170 bucks includes every thing from the head up.... and rings should only run you 50 bucks.... If your clutch is strong I would not worry about it.... I have two accord's with over 300,000 on them.... :)

Noise coming from the rear end of my 2004 honda pilot it really only occurs during cold weather and after it warms up you hear it slightly

When does the noise occur, while driving only, or driving and idle, in gear, or in neutral and park? If it occurs all the time (while driving and at a stand still in cold weather) it could be the fuel pump. If it occurs only while driving, it may be a wheel bearing. Describe the noise (humming, grinding, whirring, etc), and what is the mileage on the Pilot? Answer my questions so I can fine tune my answer. Thanks!

Timing chain maintenance

It's actaully a timing belt, not a chain. But the mileage recommendation i believe is 60,000 or 90,000 miles.
