You never use tape on a presurized system. Any cooling system containing a thermostat build pressure. tape will not last long. A new hose is the only solution.

They have change the piston on my car and its doesn't crank and it shows the engine service light that has a spanner in orange please help

The repair and your current problem might not be related and perhaps not even the spanner light is related.

If the repair was only a short time ago you should give the repairer a call in the first instance in case the problem is related.

An engine piston does not develop a hole for no reason. Pistons are strong and reliable and something else must have happened, something fairly serious, to have caused a hole.

Either the ingress of foreign matter due to bad or incorrect maintenance, something within the engine broke or maybe serious overheating within the cylinder occurred.
Replacing the piston without discovering what caused the trouble in the first place (and curing it) would be a very bad repair.

If it was serious overheating that caused the hole, the overheating could have been caused by preignition or a faulty engine management system and in that case your present problem might be connected to the original cause, though your current problem could be a faulty starter motor or immobiliser.

To discover the exact meaning of the spanner light you should read your vehicle handbook.

My car has a knocking noise when my car gets warm and looses power whlie driving.Does not have noise at start up only when I drive about 15 km the sound comes.

You say when it "warms up". The symptoms you are stating sound suspiciously like a serious overheating issue. The engine will clack loudly and lose most of its power when the engine becomes extremely overheated.

What can cause my gauge to rise to hot but it does not over heat.on a 2000dodge grand caravan sport.

How do you know it is not overheating. It may very well be overheating but it has not blown a tube or gasket yet to have that tell tale sign of steam coming form the engine compartment. Careful about driving with an overheated car as you can do some serious and expensive damage to your engine.

Why did my blazer get hot while i was driving and when i step on the gas it does not want to go very good

Sounds like the thermostat has failed in the cooling system or coolant is very low, causing overheating and when overheating the engine fires early (pre-detonation) causing the engine to buck and loose power. the cooling system needs to be checked as soon as possible as either condition can cause serious engine damage to total engine failure.
the check engine light should also be on.

My 2008 altima made a wihning sound and lost power while climbing a hill, after letting it cool down it worked again

did you overheat the engine?
did the engine RPM rise and not car speed. (tranny slip is bad news)
fix cause of overheating if it did. now.
it will return. (99% do)

all cars have excess cooling capacity so , on flat ground and cold days
you dont need that, but on a hot day up hill you do. see?

there are lots of tests. for cooling. do you have tools. or can you buy them.?
the tests are easy. but most folks dont have tools or want them and only want us to guess.
sorry ,guessing is too expensive.
here ill take a few wild guesses (read this in any book on engines)

  • Rad tubes clogged.
  • thermostat bad, or installed wrong.
  • low coolant level in the RAD not the overfill tank the RAD cap hole. (check only when COLD engine !!!)
  • Air in the system.
  • AF fluid leaked out. (green/yellow puddles under car)?
  • loose fan belt, or missing, or shredded? or mangled?
  • water pump impeller rusted 1/2 way through.
  • engine problems, serious. like wrapped or cracked heads.
  • Crank engine block, or bad head gasket.
  • there are more, but stop.

Loosing power when drining

Hi Jennifer-
I believe I may be able to help you with the gas spillage you are having when filling the tank. This happened on my 1998 Toyota Camry.
One day, even though I was low on fuel, the attendant had trouble adding gas to my tank. Gas would spill during filling or the nozzle would click off (as though it was full) even though it was not. I had to stand there myself and slowly add gas until the tank was full.
I learned that my car had a thin vent tube that would run from the gas tank to the gas tank opening. As gas is rushing into the tank during filling, the air that is being displaced from the gas tank escapes through this tube. This tube had rusted closed a bit and was restricting the air flow escaping from the tank during pumping causing the problems I described. Once this tube was replaced, my problem was solved!
Hope this helps!

I need to cheat my car ignition interlock systems or home system, how might i go about this?

Take an empty toilet paper tube. Wrap it around the mouthpiece tightly. By bending end of insertion. Wrap good tape I.e.. duck tape, packing tape. Around whole tube. Pull tube off and cover insertion end with tape. Cut small **** on tape so you can get an airtight fit on mouthpiece. Fill with 2-3 pieces of good tissue paper. Place on mouthpiece and blow. This has worked for me many times. Won't work if you have a really high b.a.c. though. Let me know

Check engine light goes on and off; lights went on and off; missing and stops on occasion when idling.

This usually means that you should have your O2 sensors replaced or the MAF Sensor "Mass Air Flow Sensor on the air intake tube replaced. These are serious but if the car, is hesitating then it is the MAF or the intake tubes are loose letting to much air flow in the engine which this means the engine would be running too lean in bank 1or 2.

White smoke while idling

Is it smoke or steam thats coming out the tail pipe? Are you loosing coolant or overheating? It sounds like a classic head gasket problem to me. If it smells like gas it may be a bad FPR and what you are seeing is unburnt fuel vapour. If that is the problem, it is a cheap and simple fix.if not it might be head gasket problem only
