Question about 2007 Toyota Yaris
Hi im driving a 2007 toyota yaris was brand new wen i got it,i bought the car cause of the safty like they advertise,i have been having endless problems wit the dealership, the main thing is my car has a burning smell inside the car and it all started after it came from the dealership.i booked the car in for its 30000km service i told them to check the cd player cause it was not reading original cds or it cuts out etc.if my car have maintenance plan which is not expired the dealership said they fitted a new one,wat is the procedure for fitting a factory fitted radio/cd player, its exactly the same one.are they suppose to just take out the existing unit, unplug the cables and plug in the new unit?or do they have to rewire the unit and look for a power supply?cause toyota sent my car to a backdoor auto electrician working from his garage at home,i investigated and after not getting back to me on several times,i was upset, cause then my central locking packed up and my handles to open the doors was broken, toyota said its normal with the yaris to happen.then my car was completely dead the battery.my car came back from a service the friday and monday morning i found the battery was flat.i was told its cause the car was cold wen you park your car outside, its a brand new car why is der so many problems i ask myself.the after service is very bad,im still having problems with them.when i took it to another dealership cause my car just cut out and der was no brakes wen i pressed on my pedal, the AA came to tow my car in the dealership then said its my ECU that packed up,and my car just came from a service two days prior.when i went back after 3days i was told(BY OTHER TOYOTA TECHNICIAN)that its not the ECU,THE PROBLEM WAS THAT THE OTHER BACKDOOR TECHNICIAN CONNECTED THE RADIO TO GET POWER HE CUT THE WIRE FROM THE ALARM SECURITY SYSTEM WIRE AND JOINED THE WIRES TOGETHER CAUSE HE COULD NOT FIND A POWER SUPPLY.THE BURNT WIRE SMELL I GOT WHEN I DRIVE MY CAR WAS CAUSED FROM THE WIRES BEING CUT AND IT WAS NOT EVEN TAPPED WITH INSULATION TAPE COMPLETELY.COULD HAVE CAUSED THE CAR TO BURN OR CATCH A LIGHT,IS IT POSSIBLE CAUSE THAT IS MY SAFTY AND MY KIDS THAT IM WORRIED BOUT.THE GUY ALSO TOLD ME THAT BECAUSE THE WIRES WAS CUT AND JOINED THAT WAS DRAINING THE POWER FROM THE BATTERY EVEN WHEN THE CAR WAS OFF..IF TOYOTA DID ALL THIS WHY DID I HAVE TO PAY FOR ANOTHER BATTERY AND MY WARRANTY WAS NOT EXPIRED.THEY TELLING ME NOW THAT MY WARRANTY IS EXPIRED MY CAR IS ON 60000KM ALMOST ITS 2007 MODEL T3 5DR A/C.THE BATTERY PROBLEM HAPPENED LAST YEAR DECEMBER SO WHY AM I IN THE WRONG IF THEY DID THE WRONG WIRING LAST YEAR OCTOBER.
