SOURCE: how can i change headlight

It's easy, under the hood on the headlight casing is a lever like thing, (careful it is fragile) pull the lever up or down (varies for diffrent models).
Push the entire headlight casing out toward the front of the car. (The casing will hang over your bumper). Pull out the headlight and plug the new one in.
Push the casing back in and lock the casing in with the lever. One note, there is some really sticky adhesive holding the light in, so you may have to push/pull hard to get it to slide out.

If spark is good, it could be fuel pump or filter, or even your solenoid. Message me with more info. does it:
1. Try to start? - Fuel issue, or battery issue?
2. Click - Battery issue
3. Nothing? - Solenoid issue

Purchased new but not original vauxhall headlights and when switched on they point down, not out in front like they did on originals. Levelling motors are fitted.

put the lights on and check the adjustment of the levelling motors check the method of fixing the motors to the headlights as it may be a hole out or a screw adjustment on a rod.. Remember low beam is meant to point down with only the main beam lights to point straight ahead

My 2004 madza 3i high and low beam are too low. I have to use high beam to see the road. Is anyone know how to fix it?

This is not hard to fix. Wait until it is dark enough outside to clearly see your headlight beams, then park your car on level ground 20 feet from a wall, fence, garage door, etc. Turn on your headlights (be sure your high beams are off) and open the hood. on the top of each headlight assembly you will find an adjustment screw... just turn the screw with a Phillips screwdriver until the hot spot in the center of your headlight beam hits the wall where it meets the ground.

Does flip up lights have vaccum and were at

No, they're electric motor driven. One motor for each headlight. Most of time the problem with these headlights are,

1.The drive gear has teeth worn off, (It's Nylon)

You can do a Temporary fix that may get you by for 4 months to a year, or replace the gear. It's your call.

The temporary fix is to remove the Lift Arm from the shaft of the headlight motor. (10 Millimeter wrench)

Then use the Manual Override Knob, (Rubber cover that has "Remove for Manual Adjustment". Remove it to get to the manual override knob)

Turn the knob on top of the headlight motor until the Rotator Pin, turns 180 degrees from where you started from.

Now you're using part of the gear that hasn't been previously used. The gear only rotates 180 degrees when lifting, or lowering the headlight. (Circle is 360 degrees. Half circle is 180 degrees)

Reinstall the Lift Arm.

This video link, shows you how to access the parts I'm talking about for a temporary fix, and also how to replace that gear.

Tells of how to install a Brass gear, to replace the Nylon one.
I'm not advertising for the gear manufacturer, I'm linking the video for reference of how to do the above.

1995 mazda miata flip up headlights one collapsed this evening and one won't stay up. the other headlight is fine. how do i fix this, thinking it's a spring or hydraulic system.

There is a bar that runs off a small motor to the side of the headlight bucket. It is about 4" to 6" in lenght and should have two white plastic caps; one clips on the electric motor of the actuator, the other on the side of the headlight bucket. I think Moss Motors sells these for about $10 a piece. Buy 2 and replace them in pairs. If one has failed, the other may not be far behind.

Headlight adjustment, especially electrical control

the system should do this its self, it sounds like the replacement head lamp is faulty, or if you put your old electric motor on to the replacement lamp then you could have missed the socket that the motor attaches to. regards John

You won't need a diagram as the damage was done where you tried patching in to the headlight circuit.   You already know wher that was,  just figure out where you shorted 2 of the wires with the wire clamp on device that wasn't lined up right.  the insulation between two of the wires has been cut and you have a partial short.  Once you identify and repair the insulation NEATLY with electrical tape, you'll be fine.
If you really think you need diagram, buy a haynes manual for about $20 at your local parts store or
