I owned a LHS and 94 New yorker both cars did this, have the door locks checked for a loose wire for the alarm system, something is telling the security system there is a breach, you must lock the doors, shut the door and then open the car door by unlocking it with the key or it will continue to do this. Mine had loose wires and the door lock would not sense the key so I used the passenger door in the same way I described above. IT will NOT Start and run if this is an issue until the alarm is reset by doing as I described. Good luck BTW both cars suffered from failing transmissions, very weak trans in these cars.

SOURCE: starting problems on a 1995 new yorker

Could be a few things. You said starter works, does it turn the car over or just whine?

If the car is turning over it could be a spark of fuel problem. Check your spark plugs, fuel filter and get your pump tested. The fule pump can be heard working when you click you car to the "on" postion, you will hear a buzzing sound. Try leaving your car in the "on" position for about 30 secs, then try starting it. I would also get your battery tested as there may not be enough power getting to the starter to fully turn the flywheel.

SOURCE: 94 New Yorker, replaces fuel pump and fuel filter and....

It's either not getting fuel or spark. Have you checked to see if you are getting any spark to the plugs. Take one of the plug wires off its plug and place it close to the frame or engine. When you crank the engine you should be able to see a spark jump from the plug wire to the frame. if you do not see a spark you have a problem with the ignition system. If you do see a spark then the problem is with the fuel system.

Hope this helps Good luck Loringh

Well all of your heads up gauges are controlled by the computer. It sounds like you have an intermitent short in the computer. this is not a fixable thing, The computer must be replaced.

It's possible the nylon gear in the door motor located behind center of grill is stripped. There is also an assist spring on the bar to the passenger side lamp door which may have become disconnected.
The motors cost around $80.00 for the part but if your just looking to keep them open you could insert a small screw near the pivot point of either lamp door.

93 chrysler new yorker headlights flash on/off after being on 10/15 min..

That sounds like a headlight relay. First try jiggling the headlight switch after the symptom starts. Then I would suggest replacing the headlight relay.

Head lamp does not turn on, but bright light does in chrysler

It sounds like its a 'duel filiment' headlight; 2 separate filiments, 1 for highbeams & 1 for lowbeams. (Same as a brake light/directional bulb) Replace the headlight with a new one.
