My 2001 Nissan xterra turned on all by its self. When I got to it i unlocked my running car put the key in the ignition and nothing happened I tried turning it off with the key but didn't work. The car...

The car apparently has a remote starter installed. This allows for starting the engine without a key. Most aftermarket starters will run for 15 minutes, then if you haven't entered the car and inserted the key to the on position, it will shut off automatically. The only way to shut the car off while the remote is in control is to press the brake pedal. The key won't work to turn it off UNLESS you get in the car, turn the key to the ON position, press the brake, THEN turn the key off.

Hi: I have a 1998 Chevy Blazer 4.3 The brake lights and turn signals don't work.... HELP

Sounds like you have a bad multiple function turn signal switch. A couple things to try With your foot pressing on the brake pedal, Press the four way flasher button up and down, press and hold it down, pull up on it, or wiggle it. If the brake lights come on during any one of those replace the switch. With the key in the run position pull, push, the turn signal lever slightly. If the turn signal or brake lights start to work replace the switch. Let me know if none of those work, they usually do, and I'll get you some more in depth diagnostic info.

Not sure?

to 94 chevy have you checked fuel pump? car must be turned off . With key in off position turn key to acc position, radio must be turned off. when key is in acc position you should hear small hum for about 15 to20 sec then it shuts off .This means fuel pump is working. This should happen every time you turn the key switch. If you have pump noise, I would look under the distributor there are two sets of wires that is your spark modulator . remove distributor cap 2 screws on driver side removes it take it to autozona/ checker auto and they will check it

My third brake light dosen't work on my chevy s10 94'

I had a similar problem with my 1994 S-10 LS extended cab. Both tail brake lights worked fine. I removed the 3rd brake light cover and tested for voltage at the steel center of the two rivets and found the positive (driver side) negative (passenger side) were good. I checked the two metal strips that send power to bulbs and found the positive side was open. Seems the flared side of the rivet was not making contact with the metal strip. I bucked the rivet with a punch and hammer and it took care of the problem.
