My car got broken into last night. Fortunately, I had minimal damage aside from the driver seat window. I am looking to get a window from a junk yard tomorrow and replace it myself. Does anybody have tips for me as far as removing the door panel and replacing the window is concerned?

THINGS I NEED:
Tarp
windex
toolbox- razor blade, pocket knife
towel
vacuum

thank you!

Power lumbar not working in buick rainier

The drive nut may have broken loose or just broke. Short of opening the seat upholstery there is not much that can be done. At least since you are hearing the motor, the wiring should fine. It uses the same fundamentals as the seat positioning mechanism uses.

An upholstery shop might be your best bet to get the upholstery covering off intact with minimal damage so the mechanism itself can be reworked/repaired and seat frame repaired as needed.

The problem with cleaning solvents or spray lubricants is the potential for the foam seat form to get damaged- or worse- permanent smell.

I own a 1996 328i BMW, and the drivers automatic seat adjustment Tilt only goes back and will not come forward. Is this a simple fix or do I neede to replace the seat? I know if I go back any further with...

Very common problem. The white plastic gear in the tilt mechanism gets old and brittle and breaks.
BMW will want to sell you a whole gear box with motor. Aside from the outrageous cost, removing that gearbox is a pain.
Odometergears.com will sell you just the plastic gear for $40, and their website has wonderful instructions that show you how to replace it quickly and easily.
You will have to remove the seat from the car. Put some old socks over the tips of the seat rails that unbolt from the floor because the seat is rather heavy and awkward to handle, and the tips of those seat rails are very sharp and will cut up the interior and exterior of your car if they touch anything as you wrestle with the seat DAMHIK.
The other tip is to be careful not to over-tighten the screws that hold the cover on the gear box, They are not very strong and will twist in two easily. Again.. Don't ask...
Unrelated, but if the leather on your driver seat is shot, you can use the leather from a junk yard passenger seat to freshen up your driver seat. The seat bottom is replaced foam and all. Don't bother trying to save the plastic snaps, just pry the seat bottom up and put in new snaps. The leather on the seat back has to be removed from the seat and transferred, but it is not difficult.

On my 2003 yukon I have no heated front seats working and no power seat for the drivers side.

Look in the fuse box on the driver's side of the vehicle on the outboard side of the dash under the triangular cover which snaps off and on. This panel is not visible when the door is closed. If you have your owner's manual, look on page 5-104. This is where the fuses and relay/circuit breaker descriptions, layout, and specifications begin. This section runs to page 5-111.
You are going to check fuse number IGN3, a red plastic, stab-in miniature 10Amp fuse. It has an "S"-shaped element visible through the side of the fuse body. If the element is broken or burned, replace this fuse. DO NOT use a replacement fuse of ANY other rating; use an identical 10Amp fuse ONLY.
You are also going to look for the "Center Instrument Panel Fuse Block," located under the instrument panel, to the left of the steering column. You are going to check the device labeled "30A CB Seat." This is driver and passenger seat module circuit breaker. This circuit breaker is an automatic resetting device, replacement is necessary only if there is no other problem, and it will not reset.
If only the driver seat is affect, the problem is not the CB Seat; check the wire harness and connector under the seat. There is almost no clearance under the seat, and it may needs be removed to check this. There are four 14mm or 15mm bolts, one at each outboard corner of the seat, the front ones under snap-on plastic covers, which anchor the seat to the vehicle. These bolts are installed with an anti-seize anchoring compound which make them difficult to remove, but aside from elbow grease, there is no other trick to removing them.
Good luck, and if I have helped you, please remember to comment/vote.

VW Cabrio 2002 heated seats

If the fuse isn't blown, it may be a broken heating element or a disconnected harness. Look under the seat and take a look at the wire harnesses - are they all plugged in? Jiggle or push on them a bit (do NOT do this to any yellow connectors under there though - yellow connectors are for airbags and the static electricity in your body can blow them). If they're all OK, and that doesn't work, and no wires are broken in the connectors, you may have a damaged heater. Has anyone ever knelt on the seat to reach across and get something? That kind of excess pressure can easily damage the heating element.
