P0442: Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System Small Leak Detected
With a P0442, the most common repair is to:
Remove and reinstall the gas cap, clear the codes, and drive for a day and see if the codes come back.
Otherwise, replace the gas cap, or
Inspect the EVAP system for cuts/holes in tubes/hoses

The code means the computer has tried to vent the gas tank and has found a small leak in the vent system.

it basicly means you have got an air leak on your inlet manifold or one of the pipes or hoeses going to the inlet manifold or even the manifold gasket.
if you start the car up end listen under the bonnet you may be able to hear and locate the leak

Problem is a check engine light on with codes p0442 and p0446 and failed california smog test


those codes mean you have a problem with your evap there is a small leak in your evaporative system(fuel vapours)have the system checked
