Power Door Glass and Regulator Motor REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
i cant figure out how to get the motor out of the - 977dc41.gif
This is small so if you email me at I can send it to you as an attachment and it will open bigger....but here is the rest of the info for you.

  1. Disconnect the battery ground.
  2. Remove the door trim panel.
  3. Disconnect the window motor wiring harness.
  4. There are 2 dimples in the door panel, opposite the 2 concealed motor retaining bolts. Using a 1⁄2 in. (13mm) drill bit, drill out these dimples to gain access to the motor bolts. Be careful to avoid damage to the wires.
  5. Remove the 3 motor mounting bolts.
  6. Push the motor towards the outside of the door to disengage it from the gears. You'll have to support the window glass once the motor is disengaged.
  7. Remove the motor from the door.
  8. Installation is the reverse of removal. To avoid rusting in the drilled areas, prime and paint the exposed metal, or, cover the holes with waterproof body tape. Torque the motor mounting bolts to 50–85 inch lbs. (6–10 Nm). Make sure that the motor works properly before installing the trim panel.

Hi all, hyundai get some times power window doesn't roll back when I open door panel then It roll up for a while it does roll down but don't roll up any way to fix this

Sounds like a power window motor. Sometimes this will help diagnose your problem for the mechanically uninclined. While holding the switch to power the window while the window is stuck, just bank on the inside of the door panel for that window without causing damage. Sometimes this will jar the motor and it will start to move. This is a sign of a bad power window motor. It may also be a switch as the alternative problem but most likely the power window motor. I recommend replacing the window motor and window regulator at the same time. You can usually buy both together.

The rear passenger window will not roll up.

Soundls like your window motor went bad. Could also be window regulator or just a bad wiring conection. Take off door pannel and check the connections and the motor. Hope that helps

Window will not roll up or down . trunk will not shut completely

Two problems are simular but not related. The power window the door panel can be removed, theres screws behind the door opener handle. and on the bottm edge of the panel , under plugs in the ends on the door closer armrest handle. once their all removed the panel needs to be lifted up and off its hooks theres wires connected to the switches in the panel and they can be picked unlocked and unplugged, Once the wires are off the motor is in plain veiw and it can be unbolted with 3 10MM headed screws with it off reconnect the switch and turn on the car and work the window with the swich if the gear turns good and you can't hold it back the window regulater has come off the window or it's broken the gear drive in the motor has a clutch and it can fail too. Removing the screw that holds the gear into the motor the gear can be lifted out. the clutch has three plastic roolers and they can break and or change to mush. They can be bought at an auto parts store. A new motor sometimes doesn't come with the clutch and the gear as your suposed to move them to the new motor. So if you end up needing a new gear make sure the new motor has all the parts that you need.

I cant seem to get my window to roll down, the motor is working perfectly but the window just dont want to roll down? what should i do?

sounds like the either the spline on the motor has worn or the window track has detached from the window. Remove the interior door panel just enough to see inside the door & try rolling it down you should be able to see what the motor is doing from there should be an easy fix. If its a worn spline you may have to replace the motor

Driver side window wont roll up. All other windows go up and down..How can this be fixed with out costing an arm or leg..??

Power windows I take it, I would say you have a broken operating cable, costly repair because you have to buy the whole winder unit but they can sometimes be repaired with a little patience and invetiveness, I have repaired several (Crown Vic, Ford Probe and Mercury Maquis) using modified bike brake and gear shift cables.

can you see the window assembly.. you should be able to see the gears for the window crank as it sounds like the gears are stripping... You should be able to get to the bolts that are holding the window assembly to the door.

How do I fix Electric window motor

Sounds like the gear on motor or the window pinion is slipping -- either loose, worn or broken. Need to remove door panel to investigate.

Power window not working, motor and electric good, whats wrong?

Well either the gears aunt lined up correctly or the motor old and tired. Doesn't have enough power/torque to spin gears. might just need a new motor.

Window wont roll up

Hi my name is Allen!

When the window falls down it is because the cable for the regulator and motor broke. The only fix is a new regulator/motor assembly from the dealership, or a good one from the junk yard if you can find one.

For further asistance you may reach me at FixYa!
