Can't drums back on a toyota echo 2004


Notice the question ,duh putting drum back ON.Yes I have encounterd this 3times. Make sure e brake is backed off and the adjuster is tripped and shoes are retracted, also if aftermarket shoes had to grind a little off bottom of each shoe where it rests on each side, Next time I used Toyota shoes and new drum. No problem. Seems thatlining is thicker on aftermarket shoes from napa.

no you buy a kit which includes new wheel cylinders and shoes with the spring kit as they are bonded shoes and do not use rivits anymore .

I have 94,000 miles on my 2004 Toyota Camry Solara. Do I need a Timing belt at this time. What else is essential at this time? I am trying to save money.


i would replace the belt. if the belt breaks you could bend the valves. i had mine break at about 102,000. bent 4 valves.

How do you remove the rear rotor on a 09 carmy.. inturnel break shoes em/break


slacken handbrake cable so the shoes inside the drum on the disk copntract and should then just come off ,with maybe the slight help of an irish screwdriver(big hammer)

Starting around 2003 toyota changed the design of their 4 cyls in the camry, they no longer use a timing belt, they use a chain that doesnt require you to change it like a belt.

just take off tire take a clip out and pull out front shoe and take off roter then the back push in the cylender with a c clamp and revers the process of the calaper might come off using boltes then same process

2002 camry breaks


take off brake caliper, take off your brake pads. check the sliders. sliders are on the side of the bracket. see if they are moving freely in and out. im pretty sure they are seized. that's why your pedal is soft and sinks down really fast when applied.
