Question about 1998 Honda Accord

My 1998 Honda Accord V6 Radio and Power Outlet stopped working after my cell phone charge came apart in the outlet. Out parts have been removed, but my radio and power outlet still don't work and I tried a different cell phone charger.

05 honda accord have no power in the cigarette lighter and power outlet

Well... because there can be several things that cause this issue, you want to start with the process of elimitation. Is your car powered on when you try and use the outlet? Most veichels will not allow power to the outlets when powered off.
Observe the outlet and remove any foreign objects from the outlet, there may be a fuse or metal from a broken acessory stuck in the outlet.
Start by pluging something that works into the outlet (like a cell phone charger wit an led to indicate power) locate your veichels fuse box as per instruction of the cars manual. Remove fuse cover and locate the fuse location of the outlet in question, often labeled power or accessory. Observe the ratings of the fuse and be prepared to replace it if need be (it's good to keep common spare fuse for your veichel in your glove, trunk, ect). Remove the fuse and use a fuse tester to test the fuse or look to observe if the fuse is blown, if so replace the fuse, if the led on the charger plugged into the outlet emit's light then you have solved your problem, and if not stop work and call a mechanic or post another question. There are other things you could do but nothing that I would advise without you asking.
good luck and thanks

Power outlet on switched Power

You might be able to use a jumper wire to bridge that fuse with one that is not controlled by the key.

I need 1998 honda accord radio unlock code

Go to a Honda dealer's parts department.
They can get it using the VIN # on the vehicle.
They usually won't do it over the phone, but, you never can tell.
Some may want to charge you to remove the radio to get
the serial number off the radio. If they do, find another dealer.

Power outlet does not work. radio/cigarette

check and make sure theres no corrosion and if possible check to make sure its plugged in .. the connector is directly behind the outlet so removal of the panel will be necessary.. if thats good the i would check for voltage at the connector if there is( which it probably will have voltage) than replace the outlet..

Last night while plugging my car charger for my cell phone into the outlet in my car, my stereo (which was playing a cassette tape) stopped working. Is this a fuse? How do I fix this?

this sounds like the radio fuse, also check the lighter and assy, fuse. if you do not know where fuse box is and location of fuse. go to any auto parts store and they will tell you where it is.

1998 Honda Accord EX V6 2 Door - Radio Error Code on Display

No-one is ever particularly happy to here this, but this is the way it is; we do have to keep in mind that the original idea of codes on radios was to prevent people who steal them from being able to use them.

So, if an audio unit with theft protection is disconnected from electrical power, you must enter a unique code number into the unit or it will not work. This code and the audio unit’s serial number are listed on the anti-theft ID card that comes with the vehicle. If this card is lost, you must obtain the audio unit serial number in order to get the radio code (some people say that they have found the code on a sticker inside the glove compartment, but I wouldn’t count on that). Some newer vehicles allow you to retrieve the audio unit serial number electronically from the radio. Refer to your owner’s manual for the specific procedure (the following usually will work: Turn the radio off. Push the preset 1, preset 6, and power buttons at the same time, then quickly release. The serial number will come up in two sets of numbers.)
Some older vehicles (model year 2003 and older) require a visit to the dealer in order to retrieve the audio unit serial number (or you can remove the unit and get the serial number from the back of the radio). Once you have the audio unit serial number, you can call Auto Customer Service at (800) 999-1009 or have the dealer look up the radio code.

Here is the URL for the Honda Owner page. If you register (no charge) you are able to get radio codes using the VIN number of your car, the serial number of your radio, and the
Phone Number and Zip Code that you give them when you register.

Hope this helps you with the process.

There is blown fuse check fuse panel on the left side kick panel . check all the fuses in that fuse box with a fuse tester some circuits are linked together. it may not only be the cigarette lighter and radio fuse that control those items. 1998 Honda Accord power outlet bad, can't figure out which fuse

try the fuse on the passenger side marked radio. mine went out awhile back and the power outlet is on the same fuse as the radio. If that dosn't fix it then get a multi-meter and start checking to see where you are getting power and where you aren't. it may be nothing more than a burnt wire under the center console. in that case you have to take out most of the console to get to the underside of the outlet cause there isn't any other way to get it out
