Question about 2005 Toyota Avalon

1 Answer

Starting Problems Good luck. I have 2007 Lexus ES350 with Intermittent Starting problems. They towed it to Lexus, replaced the start button as they were defective under certain VIN#'s. Then it happened a 2nd time, back to Lexus, no problem there. Back to Lexus a 3rd time for 10 days. Brought it back to me and they said if they can't duplicate it, can't fix it. Have a 2000 Lexus with 100K + miles, that's why we bought another one. Everything is fine except for this one thing. But now the car is starting with no problem, but I also removed SunPass and EZ Pass from the car. Then no symptoms. How weird is that, besides the fact they don't know what's causing this. Have seen this on the internet with other cars and makes also. Never see a solution. Good Luck to you.

Starter has brushes in them, and as they begin to wear out, it would have that same problem you have. Infact this is true for any motor that have brushes. Right now it is okay. The problem may take a while before coming back again, but when it does, it would happen more often, then eventually the starter will not even operate anymore.

My lexus key is not detected after replacing ES350 battery

The ES350 battery should have been under warranty, so this should be done at a dealership who would in turn check your keys....You will likely have to return to a Lexus dealership with both master keys and have them reprogrammed, however try holding the key directly to the dsh beside the ignition switch for about ten seconds, then push the ignition button.

Lexus es350 will not start and it gives key not detected message

Take your fob and hold it directly against the dash beside the start button for about ten seconds. Watch to see if the green light comes on. Then try the button. If it fails try your spare key same way. You likely have a low battery in the fob.
