Did they also offer to sell you a Chilton's Auto Repair Manual at the same time?... apparently not. Those instructions are in the manual (you gotta buy one).

like I said, the instructions are in the manual. It will tell you where the connector is in the vehicle. Once you see the connector, you should be able to figure out (recognize) how to connect the key.

OBD1 Trouble codes, without a scan tool.

Here is a tip for retrieving Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) from any OBD1 GM vehicle. <br /><br />First thing is your going to need to get a paper clip, and bend it into a U shape. <br /><br />Now stick the ends of the paper clip into the 2 top right hand side holes in the connector. Note: Do this with the key in the run position, but with the engine off.<br /><br />You should now see your check engine light flash once, pause, then 2 times. This indicates that your ECM is working properly.<br /><br />Now it will blink indicating your code. For example an EGR failure code is DTC 32. You will see your light blink 3 times, pause, then blink 2 times, giving you code 32.<br /><br />A list of codes can be found here:<br /><br />Hopefully this helps some of you all out there. Thanks for looking.

Is there a knock senser on a 1994 Mazda b3000. The code flashes 331

The engine in your B3000 may not be the original; I find no listing for that code, only these:

Mazda Trouble Codes and Retrieval Method OBD1

Look down the page for the only codes I found listed and they are all OBD1 prior to 1995.

How to test the obd codes

What is year--make--model? Generally 94 model year and older is obd1. 96 and newer is obd2, generally. 95 can be a cross-over year and could have a hybrid diagnostic connector.

Usually with obd2, you need an obd2 code reader. OBD1 you should be able to access some codes, yourself, w/o a code reader. Different makes can have different procedures for accessing codes/obd1.

94 wrangler dies in gear

You don't need a scanner. If you cycle the key off and on 5 times, the codes will start flashing. Here is a link to jeeps and their trouble codes. There aren't that many in the older OBD-1 systems.

If you have no trouble codes, check fuel pressure. Multiport injection is high pressure, above 40psi, but Jeep would have specs.

I have a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder. the service engine soon light came on and I went to Autozone and got the code. the code is P0456 and it said the possible causes are: 1) Faulty fuel cap 2) Leaking...

Have the code cleared and wait until it come on again. when and if it returns, have the codes retrieved again, the reason for this is to make sure that it was not a fluke. If the same code return then you may want to make sure that you're not leaving the ignition switch on while refueling and if that's not the cause, then you may want to start looking around your fuel tank for evidence of fuel or vapors at the gas tank seals

Where is the obd II connector location?

Under the dash on the drivers side and you have a OBD1 system on your 94 T&C. Here is a link that should be of help if your trying to retrieve your DTC codes.

Thank you for using fixya and be safe.
