I would check to see if the radiator is plugged with dirt or leaves. At idle the fan won't pull as much air as air at 60 mph. If the radiator is dirty it will cause this.

At idle most a/c get warmer as they are not under load to circulate the freon at a rapid pace
changing the dryer is wasting your money won't change anything sounds to me as if there might be a vapour lock in the system. run the car for a week with a/c on max to fully circulate freon to see if the problem goes away if not go back to the shot tell them to check system with gauges on the high and low side to make sure that it infact is properly charged with the right amount and temp.
42-54 degrees is good

no the only sensor would be the coolant temp. sensor which tells the fans when to turn on and off for cooling when a/c is running

Air Conditioner blows warm air in my 2007 pontiac g6

If there is not enough freon in the system there are safety pressure switches in the system to prevent damage to the compressor from lack of oil. First have the system tested for leaks and repair them before adding freon. The system should be evacuated with a vacuum pump for a while to check for seal leaks and to remove moisture that will enter the system .

How do I change expansion valve on 02 astro

Well you have to evacuate the freon into a storage machine, then take the inside trim panel off to access the ac unit. The expansion valve should be attached with pipe fittings. After the part is replaced a vacuum is pulled and then freon added back.

Front AC blows warm and the rear blows cold in my 99 Tahoe

I just worked through a similar issue with my van. The front and rear systems each have their own expansion valve. Chances are the front one is stuck and needs to be replaced. System will have to be evacuated and recharged.

Air conditioner blow warm air after freeon

you could have a leak in the ac system which would be why you had to add freon. take it to a repair shop and ask them to check fo rleaks because adding more freon wont fix your issue if there is a leak.

99 VW Beetle blows warm air when you start air conditioner

your condensor fins could be blocked by leaves or other debris on the outside. this component is located right behind the radiator. there could also be an overcharge or under charge in the system. make sure that when you charged the system that you used a good set of gauges to check the system pressures. Also check and make sure that there is not a blockage somewhere in the lines, Usually if there is there is a fine layer of ice surrounding it.

If Freon was "added", the system may have moisture in it and that causes blockage of the expansion valveand makes the soamolies hijack oil tankers. Just kidding. Figured this would be all foreign to you anyway, no offence.
Ok, Adding freon is not really a good fix. The system should be evacuated with a vacuum pump to remove any moisture in the system which will freeze and block the expansion valve, Hence, no cooling.Having the signs of this problem already should have called for evacuation. Adding freon from a kit increases the possibility of introducing more moisture into the system. You will need to have it properly service at this point. The drier will also let go of any moistue it has trapped when evacuated for 30 minutes @ 29 in. of vacuum - good luck

I have a 2000 vw bug.I have no air. the fan Blows and the compressor comes on but still warm air.I have had it checked and the freon levels are fine.any Ideas.

It sounds like the temp control door is stuck in hot position. Pick up a Haynes manual from a parts house and look through the dash/a/c controls. It will tell you which of the vacuum pods control the temp and proper service and testing. Hope this helps. Good luck.

AIR DOES NOT WORK DO I JUST NEED FREEON

If the air conditioner blow warm air,

1. Open the hood and check the fan belt first, sometime the fan belt broke caused the compressor stop to work, if the fan belt is good, check the compressor see if the center part turns, if turns, that means the compressor is o.k.

2. If both work fine, check the air conditioner small window see if there is bubble, if you see some bubbles in the small round window, that’s means your air conditioner lack
R-22 Freon.

3. before you fill up the Freon, check the leaking, if leaks, fix it and then fill up the Freon, the best way is to ask some professional auto air conditioner repair shop to help you.

Hope this can help you.
