Try resetting your remote device by holding it near the front drivers side and press and hold the emergency button until the horn blows once. See if that does the trick.......

What is wrong with my 2000 Chrysler T&C van. The horn will blow at random times and continue for about 30 seconds. After the van sits for a while it usually will not do this anymore, but once the van...

My info says the horn switch is molded into the airbag module. You can't service the horn switch separately. You would have to replace the air bag module, if the horn switch is the problem? Air-bags can be dangerous, safety is your responsibility.
The wire going to horn switch is a ground for horn relay, it might be possible to use external horn button to sound the horn. That probably isn't very professional. Be careful with air bag.

Replace the horn as it is rusting up inside and very soon will either not work or will blow a fuse.

2001 ford triton van horn wont work

Could be a lot of things. check for the sound of the horn relay. If you dont hear it clicking then check the fuses. If they are good then it gets complicated. could be the switches in the horn pad or the clock spring in the steering column

My horn is not working on my 1999 ford taurus

First, I would check the fuse. Then if it is not the fuse of the horn relay, the horn would probably need to be changed. It will be located up under the front bumper and will look like 2 little loud speakers that point in opposite directions. 2 little wires on it for power and ground, and 2 nuts, 3/8", I think, holding it on. You should be able to pick one up at your local auto parts store or AutoZone for less than $20.

Horn wont work on my ford escort van t reg.any suggestions please

Most fords have a horn relay under the hood in the fuse block. Fords do not have words on the cover, only numbers. You will need your glove box book to tell you what fuse and or realy it is.

2000 windstar horn

Obviously replacing it might help but horns nearly always have an adjustment screw on the case, in a place that is clearly not used for mounting or electrical connection. They have a nut to secure the screw once adjusted so should be easily recognizable. This screw is actually a grounded internal contact and the adjustment may need to be made after years to cause the horn to oscillate again. I suggest you do this outside of town and wearing some kind of hearing protection and spray a little penetrating oil (WD-40 or similar) on the described screw & nut. Loosen the nut, turn the screw very slightly in or out to adjust. Once adjusted, carefully secure the screw with the nut. This will almost surely change the adjustment you just made so you may have to repeat the cycle several times before it is satisfactory.
