My experience with A/C Condensors is that you can take it to a Radiator Shop that welds aluminum and they can repair it by welding the hole closed. I had it done twice on my truck's condensor and it works great. To try and resolve the problem you can put some fine mesh screen in front of the condensor to keep debris from puncturing it.

Hitting Ice bank caused major damage to Condensor and Radiator, Can I change condensor at home or must take to AC shop? how much would it cost? Any recommendation for reasonable repair place in Alexandria...

depends on weither you can buy a tin of R134 gas in country ,if you can buy the gas in a can then you can change the rad yourself ,most vehicles hold about 700grms of gas so you change the condensor rad yourself then connect the can of gas to the low pressure side inlet valve ,start engine and turn AC on then open the gas and as the pressure goes in the AC will click on and **** the rest of the gas in for you ,fairly simple to do

1998 mercury tracer air conditioner not working has new compressor, new alternator.

If new compressor, did the mechanic fill it with the right freon and did he check the condensor which is in front, behind your grill and in front of your Rad.
Just because you had a compressor replace... won't get you a cool car

I need to know how to get to the airconditioner condensor from up

You can get to it from the inside but it is a lot of work remove the kick pannel to get to the scres to drop the drain pan. Also try removing the glove box you may be able to get to it from there. You may have dropped something in the drain pan threw the vent holes.

Plugged A/C condensor drain

Look on the firewall and under the truck near the firewall -- there's a hose there which let's excess condensation drain out... once you find it, use compressed air to clear it.

C240 AC Not Working

Compressor = Pump

Condenser = Radiator

Unless there is actually something wrong with the condenser (i.e. it has a hole in it and is leaking refrigerant) then there would be no reason to change it just because you are changing the compressor.

It would be a bit like changing all the radiators in your house just because the central heating pump stopped working!

Hope this helps.

Call hyundai customer assistance, they WILL warrantee it and replace it. I have seen ALOT of them with rust holes on the passenger side front frame rail, where the ac condensor drains onto.
