Question about 2008 Dodge Ram Pickup 1500
I have the same issue and it is coming down to this-- the wiring is wrong to the oem plug. i looked up two wiring dia grams and they matched but the oem seven pin plug on the truck wire diagram is wired correct to the diagram on the dust/flip up cap on the truck plug. but it is different to the other two that i have found on line. not sure what dodge was thinking when the wired it? hooked up to 5 trailers and the same thing the brakes are on instantly. and the running lights do not work. i think i need to change the wires to the diagams that i found on line.because dodge has the 12v charging wire to the brakes and the brakes are the 12 v charging. the ground is wrong and the running lights are wrong. they need to swapped around also to match the wiring diagams that i have found. was there an issue with this on the dodge 7 pin factory wired plugs?
