Check that the auto choke is properly adjusted as it indicates that the engine needs a rich mixture to start when cold.

Most Chrysler cars do have an anti-theft system that can cut out the engine.

I would call the service department, with your VIN handy, and see if yours was equipped with one, and what you need to reset it.

If that isn't the problem, your EGR valve might be bad, or the sensor for it. I've seen a lot of cars where if either the valve itself, or the sensor are malfunctioning, the car won't run properly.

I would also check your MAF and IAC, as those can cause the car to not run.

If you can, get an OBDII code scanner, and pull the codes from your car, they might give you a more specific place to look. (Most parts stores will let you take one home, you put a deposit down, and get it back when you bringthe scanner back to them)

SOURCE: Hello Experts,

to reset the computer simply unplug the battery for about 30 minutes.

However, you have a different problem I believe. you need to check your plugs and wires/coil packs. A fouled spark plug will cause rough running at any speed.

It is 1-5-3-6-2-4. #1 is at the front of the engine and the distributor turns clockwise. On the distributor #1 is at 5:o'clock looking from the passenger side, or the first hole past the clip at 5 o'clock. Hope this helps.

the valve that control the heat is run by a cable from your heater assembly is located out under the hood, follow the two heater hoses to the fire wall, you will see one hose has a valve in it,one position lets water flow, the other doesn't.
