My honda accord 92 stops all of a sudden

This happened to me a number of times, at first i thought i was the spark plug wires, because when i got i fixed about 3 months ago they didnt do the job right, i had an oil leak in the spark plug wires and they changed the wires, plugs, etc, but did not change the o-rings so agian i had the same oil leak problem. so finally we took the car to someone that did the job right and now the car does the same thing, it will turn on and drive for a while some times ill stop to go to the store and it will turn right back on, but other times it will shut complety off WHILE im driving. then it takes about 10 mins and good luck to start back up agian. what could this problem be???

You should check your main relay located in the drivers side (click here for picture)
You can open it if you wish and do a visual inspection for burned or cracked solder points to make sure that is your problem.

Hope it helps =]

I've repaired several Hondas that had this problem. It turned out to be bad contacts inside the ignition switch. I had one that if you would jiggle the key(s) when it died while driving it would correct it temporarily. Disconnect the battery and remove the outer half of the ignition switch. Use fine sandpaper and contact cleaner and buff out the built-up carbon deposits. This fixes it for a while but I would replace this switch which comes with compete harness for about $60.00.

Bad coil packs would be my guess but a complete sytem test by a shop should be done first.

I pulled the head on my 92 Honda Accord EX so I could replace some damaged exhaust valves. After reassembling the engine and components the engine wouldn't start. It cranks and cranks but doesn't get any...

Are you sure that there is no spark, have you checked with a timing light? Are the wires on the coil connected correctly? Is the ignition module plugged in correctly and are all the wires on the distributor tight and correctly located? Try another ignition module from a system that is known to be working.

I had 92 honda civiv hatchback, the sparkplugs get wet with engine oil from vave cover, does sparkplugs has its own individual seals?

The spark plugs, if getting wet from the engine oil dripping off of the valve cover gasket, is not good.
The boots of the spark plug wires will prevent the contacts from getting oily, but not for long. I would have the valve cover gasket replaced to prevent this from happening. It's not good to get the spark plugs and wires wet with engine oil.

Car wont start after shut off

Probably your distributor cap or rotor, also check the spark plugs and spark plugs wires. This may happen when , after a certain amount of time, the distributor becomes to hot, or the wires, and then a huge resistance is built. Did you notice that on a long distance your car would shut off than you have to let it cool down before it starts back ? On oldder cars it's a pretty common problem.

92 honda accord #3 cylinder no spark

Trade #2 & #3 plug wires. If you loose fire on #2, you have a bad wire if not, replace cap & rotor. The TCU is transmission controller. The ECU is not going to cause a single cylinder mis-fire.
