Installing heads and need to know how to tighten the head bolts and what the specs are

Head bolts are torque to yeild so you MUST use new bolts.
Tighten cylinder head retaining bolts in numerical sequence in three steps as follows:
Loosen retaining bolts one at a time two to three revolutions and retighten as follows:
Long bolts:
Short Bolts:

Always use new head bolts.
1)tighten to 40ft/lbs
2)back off 1/2 turn
3)tighten back to 40ft/lbs
4)tighten an additional 90 degrees
5)tighten an additional 90 degrees.

Torque new cylinder head bolts in sequence to 44 ft lb. Loosen bolts approximately two turns, then torque bolts in sequence to 44 ft lb. Turn bolts an additional 90 degrees in sequence, then an additional 90 degrees

These bolts are torque and turn procedure!
STEP 1: 14 FtLbs
STEP 2: 29 FtLbs
STEP 3: 36 FtLbs
STEP 4: LONG Bolts Loosen 3 Turns - re-torque to 33FtLbs
STEP 4: SHORT Bolts Loosen 3 Turns - re-torque to 19FtLbs
STEP 5: ALL Bolts +180deg turn
DO NOT use any sealing material.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 30 N•m (22 lb ft) plus an additional 155 degrees using the J 45059 .

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 35 N•m (26 lb ft).
Install pushrode and rocker arms and rocker arm nuts. Tighten nuts to 22 ft. lbs. (30 Nm).
Install valve cover and tighten bolts to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
