I hit a deer the other day. I replaced the radiator and one headlight. How do I test to see if my radiator fan still works? It has a few breaks in the cage but I think I can tape them or glue them. Fan itself still turns. The middle of the fan was hit fairly hard against the radiatior. Trying not to put a ton of money in the van but I need to last me for about 8 months. Darrell

First, DO NOT tape the "cage" if it is still intact, you can try special glues that are sold in auto body supply houses. You don't want the thing coming apart, at night, 100 miles from help.
Try junk yards, they usually sell the fan shrouds fairly cheap, that failing try after market, I've bought complete fan assy. for around a $100, most a little more.
As to testing, you can - WITH CARE- connect temporary wiring using crimp connectors. The fan will have a plug close to it, you can almost always make a connection there.
The first tip will work if you have a single fan setup.

I hit a deer in my 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe and now the radiator leaks

During peak deer season in Grand Forks, North Dakota (aka deer season), you’ll see a lot of cars with deer-strips placed on the hood or vehicle to prevent car damage. The local police and sheriff often host a season opener where they stack deer carcasses on roads to help drivers test their car’s ability to handle the inevitable crash that follows. If you happen to ram a deer while driving during this time, the results can be disastrous — even if your vehicle is equipped with easily replaceable parts like hood latches and airbags. Here are some of the potential damages that occur after being hit by a deer while driving in Gran Forks, N.D.:

Does your husban know how to do electrical testing ? Find a wiring diagram , voltage drop test the circuit to find what's missing power or ground . The hit could have damaged wiring or ground . Hi, I have a 2002 Buick Rendezvous and the high beam light will not come on on the Passenger's side headlight. The low beam works great and the high and low beams work great on the driver's side. We have...

Make sure the high beam realay under the hood fuse box is working. You can swap the hi beam relay with the horn relay to test. The hi beam filiament in the bulb can be open too.

The mounting tabs are broken. You will, unfortunatly, have to replace the headlamp assembly. The mounting tabs are VERY easily broken. Sorry I could not give you better advice, but, you are going to ghave to replace it.
