SOURCE: my car keeps overheating ive

you need to find a garage that has a coolant gas tester. this measures presence of combustion gases which have bled into the cooling system, meaning a bad gasket or crack. when the combustion bleeds into the cooling system, it creates pressure which blows the coolant out the overflow.

after you look in that area, check for sweet smell, green or orange tinged white smoke at the exhaust could tell you that the coolant is going into the combustion chamber. when it leaks one way, it often leaks the other way as well when the piston is on the intake stroke.

Could be a few things. Blockage in the radiator, blown headgasket, bad fan. Need to check for those or get a shop to have a look.

Water pump ,thermastat already replaced and still overheating.

Check you radiator for cleanlyness inside and out. Look under the cap to see if there is water movement there when running, Be careful if the engine is hot, it has to be hot enough for the thermostate to open.

The temp gauge is showing that our 2004 Avalanche is overheating and we have replaced the water pump, thermastat and coolant senor and it still shows to be overheating....what else is there to do?

Is the radiator clean and flowing coolant? Why was the water pump replaced? What was the condition of the old coolant? If the engine is HOT the air coming through the radiator should also be HOT, if its not, the radiator has blockage and will need to be removed and cleaned.
