The air bags have been deployed and I need to have a horn for vehicle inspection easier to do it from fuse or horn or at steering wheel.
To install a horn, Buy a horn button from any auto parts store. mount it under dash in a good place to use it. run a wire from horn connection to proper post on switch, run the other wire to a good power source, battery or fuse box. its the same principle as hooking up a light switch in a house. as long as it cuts the power to horn. it will work. There should already be a ground wire on horn itself. Good-Day!

I think he may have just bent the connection that activates the horn. Does it honk when you turn the wheel one way or the other? Try that and let me know what the out come is.

There is something called a clock spring in the column that is used for the airbag, horn and cruise control buttons. This clock spring if messed with will cause a/bag light to come on and possibly cause a/bag failure if there is a collision. DON"T mess with the wiring in the column. Run new wires in to the horn or install an a/market horn.

replace the clock-spring ribbon contact under the steering wheel, that is the problem, u have lost the connection due to a broken ribbon contact.

If the horn works with direct connection, and fuse, relay, and circuit breaker are all good, it's the switch in the steering wheel. If it is anything like the chrysler auto's, the switch and the air bag module is all one unit, can't replace just the switch, the whole thing, and it's about $700 to $800 for those units, at least it is here, and can only get them at a dealer.

You have a bad clock spring. This is located behind the steering wheel and all electrical functions from steering wheel must go thru it. Pretty common problem on this model. The steering wheel and the steering column trim would have to be removed to replace it.
