Sorry no way to really guess on this, use a black light to locate the leak which is most likely a line seal or condenser leak

Why wont' my a/c system blow cold air after adding freon?

Hmmmmmm, There is a lot more to AC systems sometimes.

Is the clutch on the AC compressor turning when you have the AC on? How much pressure is currently in the system? Does it have AC in the back of the vehicle?

2000 gmc jimmy a/c

The most common reason for this is the front seal of the compressor leaks, The leak is hard to track down as it is often gas and no oil or residue.

AC system loses charge

cant recall on 96 if it is o-rings or gasket but defineitly has a seal that is now leaking. remove line, replace seal and use an evac. pump to pull a vacume on system. If it holds a vacume without leaking it will hold a charge and you wont waste your freon testing. Plus you should always evac. system before charging anyway

Can't find AC Leak

their has to be a leak you will need yellow uv glasses and a blacklight to find it.. if the evaporator core is leaking it won't be visible since it is located inside the heater case behind the dash. make sure to look at all ac components, compressor, lines, fittings, reciever dryer, and condenser a cheap book for your car will show you the locations of these components in case your not familiar with the system

My a/c does not blow cold it wont hold freon but for a few hours how do you tell if there is a leak in one of the a/c lines?

you have to put a special die into teh system and then use ultra violet light and special glasses to see the leak.Sorry no quick fix ,normal places for a leak are the front seal on the compressor or one of the flexible pipes gone porous

When i turn on ac it blows hot air

Normally due to low freon. Also, notice if the a/c compressor clutch engages, as it will not if the freon is low.

I have a 2000 Celica with less than 67,000 miles that has been meticulously maintained and serviced. The AC has stopped blowing cold. It will blow cool when the temp outside is in the 70's though. (coller...

how long have you have the car? for the best of your knowledge, have you ever have the a/c system serviced?
well, the car is 10 years old, the freon may have been escaped slowly over time. freon is a gas so it will not be sealed forever. when the mechanic recharge your a/c he should injected ( you can ask him to do so ) some dye in the system then charge it up to the specification. if you have a large leak, your mechanic can find it right away. if you have a small leak then the dye will show up in a later time ( when the a/c stop working )

Car AC stopped blowing cold, compressor turns on, Freon at 45

you are going to have to put tracer dye in the system and check for leaks
if no leaks then might be low on freon and or there is a resistance in one of the lines
