2005 seat belt reminder keep beeping and the light keeps flashing

This is in a 2005 Dodge Dakota Quad cab 3.7. The drivers seat belt is buckled but the alarm and the light keeps flashing. Tried to disable it by following the manual but it does not disable. I think this may be the last Dodge we ever buy.Enough of the endless electrical issues. Our old 96 grand Caravan always had the ghosting wipers.etc. etc. Help please.

Take wire harness apart underseat that connects to seatbelt on drivers side. then take a piece of aluminum foil and stuff it into male part so it makes contact with both prongs and plucg connection back together..problem solved!!!!!!

The Enhanced Warning System (BeltAlert) can be enabled
or disabled by your authorized dealer or by
following these steps:

NOTE: The following steps must occur within the first
60 seconds of the ignition switch being turned to the ON
or START position. DaimlerChrysler does not recommend
deactivating the Enhanced Warning System
(BeltAlert).

1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position and
buckle the driver's seat belt.
2. Start the engine and wait for the Seat Belt Warning
Light to turn off.

3. Within 60 seconds of starting the vehicle, unbuckle
and then re-buckle the driver's seat belt at least three
times within 10 seconds, ending with the seat belt
buckled.

NOTE: Watch for the Seat BeltWarning Light to turn on
while unbuckling and off while re-buckling the seat belt.
It may be necessary to retract the seat belt.

**this is kinda weird** (improvement)

4. turn the key *slowly* so that the power to the radio goes off but the engine is running, you should now here a CHIME and the parking brake indicator light will come on now also. PAUSE. then turn the ignition off all the way, you should now here another CHIME.

in MY '05 RAM it works like this, but in a newer built RAM or your Dakota it might not, good luck.

I have a 2004 Dodge Dakota and the seat belt light is driving me "Krazy". I've not found a fix for it yet so I have done what every loving father would and placed a photo of my children over it ! Problem solved. If you have a real way to fix this issue I would appreciate some advice.

The problem is in the switch. When you buckle up you close the seat belt switch. Replace it or bypass it.

I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad cab 4X4, 2.8L engine. Driver's seat belt alarm will not shut off until 10 min after we are on the road. Chime shuts off / light still on?
I've tried all the tricks mentioned above, with no success! Doesn't matter what I do can't get it to stop or turn off.
This vehicle only gets 13 mpg to boot?

The driver side seat belt buzzer keeps ringing even with the belt buckled

Find and disconnect the seat belt buckle connector. short the two wires together on the harness side with a paper clip. If the chime/buzzer quits, the problem is in the buckle assembly. If the chime/buzzer is still going off, the problem is some where in the wiring or module.

Is there a way to turn off the beeping noise that happens when the seat belt is not buckled on a 2007 Tundra?

Easiest and smartest way would be to buckle your safety belt:)

If your like my grandmother and swear that it will keep you stuck in your vehicle when you need to get out fast, then you can unhook the pressure sensor in the drivers seat that recognizes when there is weight on the seat and no seat belt buckled.

Audible seatbelt warning keeps on sounding on my 2005 f150 ford truck

From the F-150 Forums, since I just bought one and this worked!

This is straight from my 2009 f150 owners guide

Preperation
1. the parking brake is set
2. truck in park
3. ignition switch is in off position
4. both seat belts are unbuckled

Disable Belt-Minder
1. turn the ignition switch to the on position, DO NOT START THE ENGINE.
2. wait until the safety belt warning light turns off. (approximately 1 minute).
* step 3 must be completed within 50 secs after the safety belt warning light turns off.
3. buckle then unbuckle the seat belt nine times, ending in the seat belt unbuckled.
* after step 3 the restraint warning light, (airbag light) will turn on for three (3) seconds.
4. within approximately seven (7) seconds of the light turning off, buckle then unbuckle the safety belt.
* the restraint system warning light will flash four, (4) times per second for 3 seconds for confirmation

you can do this for the passenger side also!!!

*NOTE
in step 3. after three times buckling and unbuckling the restraint warning light lit up in my truck. SO I WENT TO THE NEXT STEP, (STEP 4). waited 3 seconds and i buckled and unbuckled.

in the buckle /unbuckle procedure do it some what slowly and watch for the light. it may not take 9 times.
