Check with the dealer or research as most modern vehicles have a safety switch hidden that trips when accident jars vehicle----turns off the fuel pump etc.

Why do headlights remain on after the car is parked and shutoff, i have to disconnect the battery to shut them off


sounds like you have twilight sentinal which leaves the lights on for a set amount of time, you should have a dial in the car to adjust how long they stay on, usually right near the headlight switch.

Some vehicles do not have a shutoff timer, some the timer may have failed,.

If this is a new development for you, the timer module should be replaced.

While driving, my headlights will just shutoff and eventually turn back on after a bit. What could it be?


it could be your cluster control next time it does it see if pulling it makes a difference the points burn out inside and it will sooner or later just stop working all together
