Question about 1984 Chevrolet K1500

1 Answer

I have a 1984 chev pick up. 68000 on it. spotless shape. Recently developed a problem with starting. Mech replaced the ignition module. Ran perfect for 3 months. Now same problem. Starts fine when it's warmed up and restarted before cooling down. When cooled overnight, just cranks till the battery dies. I just keep replacing $90 ignition modules. Most recent one lasted 2 months. Hate to scrap the old beauty.

This sounds like a bad coolant sensor that is out of range telling the computer a false temp reading thus the wrong fuel mixture will result.

1984 Ford F-150 not getting spark.

There is a ignition module on the fender well,on drivers side,it is most likely bad,not exspensive, and it is most likely the problem, replace it and you will get the spark back. The module is square, and flat, most of the time it is silver color, and has two sets of wires coming from it,that go to two connectors, these connectors are black,If this was at all helpful, please rate, thank you.

Your blower motor resistor is bad. Replace this and it should fix your problem. Hope that helps.

98 chev blazer wont start or make any noises...

Listen for a click from under the steering column when you turn the key on. If you hear no electrical click then your ignition switch could be bad. If you hear an electrical click the you starter soleniod is bad.
