Disconnect the negative battery cable. If so equipped, disable the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS).
Remove the glove box.
Remove the glove box frame (lower support)

If not equipped with air conditioning:
Remove the three screws and remove the heater duct.
Remove the blower mounting nuts. Unplug the wiring from the blower motor, resistor and recirculation control motor, then remove the blower assembly.
If equipped with air conditioning:
Lift the carpet in the passenger compartment. Remove the side cover (kick panel).
Remove the control unit bracket nuts; unplug the five connectors and remove the control unit bracket.
Remove the retaining band, then remove the blower lower covers. Do not break the tabs on the lower covers.
Remove the retaining nuts and remove the blower assembly.

To install:
Install the blower unit and tighten the retaining nuts.
On air conditioned vehicles:
Install the lower covers and the retaining band.
Install the control unit bracket and carefully engage the wiring connectors to their proper location.
Install the kick panel and reposition the carpet.
Connect the wiring to the blower assembly. For non-air conditioned vehicles, install the air duct and tighten the screws.
Install the glove box frame and install the glove box. Note that some of trim on the frame is held with 2-sided tape; replace the tape when reassembling as necessary.
open the glove box door, remove everything from inside the glove box. remove the clip retaining the door-stop strap. pivot the glove box downward,unsnap the hinges from the instrument panel and remove the glove box. install in the reverse manner.

Install the blower unit and tighten the retaining nuts.
On air conditioned vehicles:
Install the lower covers and the retaining band.
Install the control unit bracket and carefully engage the wiring connectors to their proper location.
Install the kick panel and reposition the carpet.
Connect the wiring to the blower assembly. For non-air conditioned vehicles, install the air duct and tighten the screws.
Install the glove box frame and install the glove box. Note that
some of trim on the frame is held with 2-sided tape; replace the tape
when reassembling as necessary.
Remove all of the contents in the glove box. Remove the glove box door support. Open the glove box. Squeeze the sides of the glove box inward, to drop the box door open further. The cabin air filter is in a small rectangular box, behind the glove box.
Remove the glove box.
Cut the plastic cross brace in the glove box opening with diagonal cutters in the area shown, and discard it.
Remove the bolts, the screws and the glove box frame.
Remove the filter lid (A) from the evaporator, then pull out the dust and pollen filter (B).
Install the filter in the reverse order of removal. Make sure that there is no air leaking out of the evaporator.
Install the glove box frame and glove box in the reverse order of removal.
